Visiting Surgeon Programme (VSP)
VSPs are designed to provide visiting surgeons with the opportunity to learn from the expert host surgeon in their hospital environment. Guest surgeons will observe live surgeries, and have the chance to discuss surgical procedures, techniques and devices.
Host Surgeon: Dr Jan Malcorps

Dr Malcorps welcome visitors to Salvator Hospital in Hasselt (Belgium) who wish to develop their skills on knee reconstruction. Open to a maximum of 2 visiting surgeons per activity, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the JOURNEY◊ II Bi-Cruciate Stabilized knee system, a knee replacement system that is engineered to enhance an active lifestyle through physiological matching technology. Dr Malcorps also uses VISIONAIRE◊ patient matched technology.
Dr Malcorps is a specialist in Total Knee Replacement. During his early training he attended a Fellowship with Prof Johan Bellemans and mini-Fellowships with Dr L. Whiteside, Dr J.P. Warner, Dr F. Fu in the USA and Dr P. Cartier in France. He has been faculty at several JOURNEY II BCS masterclass meetings, has been working at the Salvator Hospital in Hasselt since 1997, and is a member of the BVOT, ESSKA, BKS, and AOS.
